Mary Lawson, age 90 of Bristol, formally of Sevierville and Knoxville, passed away early Sunday Morning April 29, 2007 in NHC Health Care in Bristol, VA after a brief illness. Mary was retired from AmSouth Bank in Knoxville, a member of Beulah United Methodist Church in Knoxville where she was an active member, teaching Sunday school there until her health would no longer allow her to at the age of 89. Preceding her in death are her parents: S.V. and Alice (Marshall) Lawson; brothers: Lewis, and Maxwell Lawson; sister: Nell Lawson. She is survived by her brother: Charlie Lawson of Bristol, TN.; Nephew Chuck (Tony) Lawson and his wife Shuping of Bristol, TN. also many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family will receive friends Monday evening April 30, 2007 in the chapel of Rawlings Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00 PM with funeral services following the visitation at 7:00 PM with the Reverend Cynthia Pennington officiating. Family and friends will gather in the Middle Creek Cemetery in Sevierville at 12:45 PM Tuesday May 1, 2007 for the interment service which will begin at 1:00 PM.
