Carl Leroy Hall, 95, of Newport went to be with the Lord Friday morning, November 7, 2003, at Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee following a short illness.
Mr. hall was a retired truck driver and was employed by ER&WNC Transportation and was a member of the Teamsters Union.
He was preceded in death by both parents, James V. and Rosa Lee (Phillips) Hall; wife, Eula Mae Hall; 2 daughters, Shirley Hall and Billy Jo Hall Baier; 3 brothers, James, John, and Edward Hall; 2 sisters, Nan Johnson and Emma Reese also preceded in death.
Mr. Hall is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Ivan and Charlotte Hall of Jefferson City, Carroll and Carolyn Hall of Wetumpka, AL; 3 sisters, Pearl Hodge of Knoxville, Margaret White of Olin, NC and Minnie Kilby of Lawndale, NC; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Brown Funeral Home Sunday evening, November 9, 2003 from 6-8 p.m.
Funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Steele officiating.
The Wayne Haney family will provide music.
Graveside service will be conducted Monday, November 10, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. at Union Cemetery.
Brown Funeral Home has been honored to make final arrangements for Mr. Carl Leroy Hall.
