He was manager of West Hills Car Wash for over 30 years. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. Preceded in death by brother and sister in law, Mayford and Barbara Atchley parents, Rufus and Avillie Atchley . Survivors: wife, Barbara Jean Atchley sons and daughters in law, Greg and Carol Atchley and children, Mandy and Carl all of Knoxville, Dale and Sandy Atchley and children, Ryan and Cory all of Kodak, Jimmy and Toni Atchley and son, Tyler step granddaughters, Caitlyn and Whitney all of Madisonville nephew, Mark and wife, Kim Atchley former daughters in law, Gwen and Junie. Funeral service 8 p.m. Monday Gentry-Griffey Chapel with Dr. R.R. Turner officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at Caledonia Cemetery for interment at 11 a.m. Active pallbearers: Bill Jones, Charlie Harmon, Phil Tipton, Bob Burroughs, Bill Hill, Carl McCubbins.
