He was originally from Orlando, Fla., and was a member of the Federation of Fire Chaplains. He served in the United States Navy (five years). He was a Vietnam veteran and a volunteer with the American Red Cross disaster relief. Preceded in death by his mother, Anne Nichols, and his father, Rev. William "Virgil" Latham. Survivors are his son, Tucker Latham; stepmother, Dorothy Latham; sisters, Cindy Adern, Virginia Smith (Jim); brothers, John Latham (Nancy), William "Bill" Latham (Natalie); several nieces and nephews. Memorial services only, Saturday, March 21, 1 p.m., at First Baptist Church, Sevierville. Any donations can be made to First Baptist Church, Sevierville.
