Lloyd H. Tarwater, age 83 of Sevierville, passed away Saturday Morning October 8, 2005 at Fort Sanders Sevier County Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
Lloyd was a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II, after returning home he worked for 40 Years with the Sevier County Board of Education and retired as a supervisor in the central office, also was a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church, as well as a member of the American Legion Post 102.
Preceding him in death are his Parents: Oliver W. and Grace McPherson Tarwater, and Sister: Reba Tarwater Lathem.
Survivors Include his Wife Elsie Yates Tarwater, Sisters and Brother in Law: Ila Tarwater Thomas, Georgia Tarwater, and Mary Grace Tarwater Huskey and Husband Roy W. Huskey, Nieces: Peggy Campbell, and Carol Ann Guluska, Nephew: James Edward Thomas, also several other Nieces, Nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends Sunday Evening October 9, 2005 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday October 10, 2005 in the Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Glen Patterson and Reverend Bud Hauk officiating. Services will conclude with the Interment in the Tarwater Family Cemetery. Rawlings Funeral Home 212 Court Ave. Sevierville, TN is in Charge of Arrangements.
