DONOVAN, VELMA LANE - age 95 of Greenwood SC, formerly of Farragut, widow of William Andrew "Pat" Donovan, died February 1, 2005. Velma was born in Sevier County on February 6, 1909. She was the daughter of the late William Pless and Mary Matilda Caughron Lane. Velma formerly worked in the school cafeteria at Farragut School and was a long time and active member of First Baptist Church Concord. Surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Patsy) Whatley of Greenwood a son, William Andrew "Andy" Donovan of Knoxville two sisters, Mattye Ross and Mary Kate Franklin, both of Knoxville five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. with Rev. Steve Peek and Rev. David Hyers officiating. Interment will follow in the Concord Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers: Lynn Wallace, Bob Donovan, Brian Johnson, Sherman Patterson, Wayne Hartzog, Charles Benson and Carl Lane.
