Norman N. Cooper, of Sevierville, went to his Heavenly home on Sunday, May 1, 2011 after a brief battle with cancer. Norman was a member of Pathways Church in Sevierville. He was a longtime builder in Sevier County and spent 16 years with the Sevier County School System. He recently had completed work on Pittman Center Elementary and was currently working on Catlettsburg Elementary School.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Linda Cooper; loving son and daughter-in-law, Shaun and Laura Cooper; sister, Lorene Brown; mother-in-law, Josie Parrott; a nephew and several nieces; special friends, Larry and Pat Freeman. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Curtis Burke and the nursing staff of LeConte Medical Center; also to his church family and many friends for their prayers and loving support.
Memorial donations may be sent to Pathways Church, 1129 Wagner Drive, Sevierville, Tennessee 37862.
The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Thursday with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Pastor Larry Freeman and Pastor Brent Freeman will officiate. Family and friends will leave Atchley Funeral Home at 9:30 AM Friday in procession to Eden Cemetery for a 10 AM graveside service and interment. Pallbearers will be Dwight Ball, Ed Ball, Larry Bohanan, Fred Branch, John Conrad, and Ralph Ramsey. Arrangements by Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
