Glenn Alfred LaFollette, age 86 of Pigeon Forge, died Tuesday, July 10, 2001 at his home. Glenn was a long-time Sevier County resident. He and his father were farmers and worked over most of Sevier County thrashing wheat for friends. He was Supervisor of Shiloh Memorial Cemetery since 1991 and gave it up last year due to his health. He worked diligently to make the Shiloh Cemetery beautiful. For many years, Glenn worked with his wife Marjorie, who owned Fine’s Jewelry in Sevierville.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Sevierville. He was preceded in death by his parents George Luther “Doc” LaFollette and Florence Ellen Brown; brothers Victor, Hobert and Clifford LaFollette; sisters Mrs. Minnie (Ted) Householder, Mrs. Lyda Erwin; an infant brother and sister; first wife Mary Elizabeth (Everette) LaFollette.

Funeral service 7 PM Thursday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Dr. Grant Jones, Chaplain Phil Gross, Rev. Andy Ball, Rev. Bill Maples officiating. Interment 10 AM Friday in Shiloh Cemetery. Grandsons will be pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the CAB Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thursday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
