MCCAMMON, VICTOR - age 88, of Maryville, died Tuesday, February 29, 2000 at the family home. Lifetime and active member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Served as a Deacon, Sunday School Director and other leadership roles. Member of the 25 year club at ALCOA with 38 years service. Also attended Everett Hills Baptist Church. Great-great grandson of Thomas and Sarah Pickens McCammon. Preceded in death by first wife, Sallie Knight McCammon; parents, Charles and Leah Pryor McCammon. Survivors include wife, Helen Peterson McCammon; sons and daughters-in-law, Victor and Denise McCammon of Madisonville, Gary and Penny McCammon of West Union, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine and D.D. Frazier of Kingsport; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Edith McCammon of Maryville, Fred and Essie McCammon of Knoxville; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Don Holbert; 10 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren. Memorial gifts may be made to Blount Memorial Hospice, 1095 E. Lamar Alexander Pkwy., Maryville, 37804 or Cedar Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 5302 Nails Creek Rd., Maryville, 37804. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2000 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church, body tolie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will be at the church cemetery following the service. Dr. Alan Raines, Rev. Steve Frye, Rev, Joe Nickel, Rev. Gary McCammon officiating. Friends may call at their convenience after 11 a.m. on Thursday at Smith Mortuary. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2000 at Smith Mortuary, 983-1000.
