UNDERWOOD, LEON ALLEN - Age 68, of Rockford, TN, passed away March 3, 2007. He was a member of East Maryville Baptist Church. Leon was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, a member of Rockford Masonic Lodge #469, and Knoxville Scottish Rite. He was preceded in death by parents, Fred M. and Louise Satterfield Underwood; brother and sister-in-law, Ted and "Wendy" Underwood. Survived by wife of 50 years, Joan Rule Underwood; daughter and son-in-law, B. Diane and Dwight L. Cobble; grandchildren, Chasten C. and Lexus C. Cobble, all of Seymour; brothers and sisters-in-law, Earl and Annette Underwood of Lenoir City, Harold and Jeannie Underwood, Mike and Brenda Underwood, Paul Underwood, all of Knoxville; Sister, Nancy Winkle of North Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be on Monday at 8 PM in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, with Rev. Keith Johnson and Rev David Webster officiating. A Masonic Service will also be provided. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM prior to the service. Family and friends will meet on Tuesday at 10:30 AM at the Sherwood Mausoleum Chapel for the committal service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the East Maryville Baptist Church building fund, 1150 Brown School Road, Maryville, TN 37804.
