WILLIAM EUGENE “GENE” GASS, SR., age 93, of Dandridge, TN passed away Monday morning, April 10, 2006. He was a retired employee of the Tennessee Highway Department and enjoyed gardening and farming. He was a member of the Oakland United Methodist Church and attended WesleyÂ’s Chapel. Preceded in death by his wife, Aileen Ailey Gass in 2003. Survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Susan Gass, Jimmy and Patricia Gass, all of Dandridge; grandchildren, Travis, Jeremy and Robert Gass, Julia (Blake) Finchum; sister-in-law, Delores Cate; brother-in-law, Boyd Ailey. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Roy Miller officiating. Interment graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 13, 2006 at Hillcrest Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
