Anah Bowers, age 90, of Morristown passed away, Sunday, January 22, 2012, at Lakeway Regional Hospital. She attended Loving Grace Fellowship Church. After 13 years of employment, Ms. Bowers retired from Dollywood at the age of 81.
She is preceded in death by her father, James Otha Lindsey; mother Pearlie Mize Lindsey; brother, William Ralph Lindsey; sisters, Mary Ruth Lindsey and Lyda Flynn Kerr.
Survived by her daughter, Raeleen Whitaker; son-in-law, Douglas Whitaker; grandsons, Gary Caldwell II wife Bridgette of Seymour, Jerry Caldwell wife Karen of Morristown and Terry Caldwell and wife Rachel of Knoxville; step granddaughters, Jill Ingham and Becky Greene husband Chuck; great grandchildren, Courtney Caldwell, Chris Caldwell and Lynsey Caldwell; step great grandsons, Chase Ingham, Cody Ingham Chucky Greene and Brandon Greene; brothers, James Lindsey wife Thelma of Morristown and Rev. Ray Lindsey and wife Louise of Sefner, FL; niece, Judy Testa and husband Phillip of Sefner, FL; nephews, Harold Flynn and wife Glenda of Clark Range, Gary Lindsey and wife Naomi of Signal Mt., Mike Lindsey and wife Ann of Chattanooga and Ronnie Lindsey and wife Robin of Charlotte, NC. Special friends Bill and Mildred Jones of Morristown and Fuji and Spec Durrance of Sarasota, FL, Roy and Pat Parsons of South Carolina and many friends at Dollywood wardrobe.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2012, in Mayes Family Services, West Chapel with Pastor Denny Capshaw officiating. A graveside service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Sevierville. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.
