Murphy, M.D., 83, of Kodak, died Friday July 23, 2004. He was a veteran of World War II, a graduate of University of Michigan Medical School, and practiced Pediatrics and Allergy in San Diego. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor (Dollie) Tansil Murphy; daughters, Kathy Peverini and Gail Gonzalez; sons, John, Peter and David Murphy; stepchildren, Cathy, Allen, Matthew and Chad Suiter; eight grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren. Memorial Mass will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pigeon Forge with Father Jay Flaherty and the Rev. Tim Fleeger officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Smoky Mountain Area Rescue Ministries, c/o Dick Wellons, P.O.
