He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Alberta Lewelling; grandparents, Roy and Lela Lewelling and Joe and Dolly Quilliams; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fred and Ada Dykes. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Janice Dykes Lewelling; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Dale Davis; the light of his life, his granddaughter, Dalyn Davis; his beloved sisters and brothers-in-law, Freada and Bob Chester and Vella and Jim Chester; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joann and Bud Wolf; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Garry and Kearan Dykes, Ronnie and Diane Dykes; and several close nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Funeral service 7 PM Wednesday in Atchley's Seymour Chapel with Rev. Jack Hitch and Rev. Jimmy Miller officiating. Interment 11 AM Thursday in Dripping Springs Cemetery.
