Finnell Ave. died at 6:15 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2000, at her residence. She was born July 20, 1928, in Sharon, S.C., to Samuel and Jettie McMahon Rains. Surviving are three sons, Henry (and Debra) Minton of Trivoli, Dennis (and Kathy) Minton of North Pekin and Tim (and Marna) Jones of Peoria; three daughters, Judy Robinson and Lisa Sassman, both of Peoria, and Patsy Minton of Michigan; one sister, Pauline Ayers of Knoxville, Tenn.; 23 grandchildren; and 21 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Norman; two sisters; and one brother. She was a member of Northwest Baptist Church in Peoria. Services and visitation will be private. Entombment will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Endsley Funeral Home & Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Methodist Hospice.
