Haskell Herman Justus, age 72, of Newport, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2003.
He retired from Stokely Can Shop and was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Branam Justus; daughter, Shirley Justus; parents, Martin and Jane Gunter Justus; step-father, Jesse Sweeten; sisters, Mae Moore, Ina Mantooth, and Unave Justus; two brothers; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Howard and Callie Branam.
He is survived by his son, Gary Dale Justus, of Newport; daughter, Dream Williams, of Newport; brothers, Frank and Bill Justus, of Newport; sister, Callie Gates, of N.J.; son-in-law, Gary Williams, of Texas; grandchildren: Michael and Janie Hartsell, of Newport; Milburn Williams, of Newport; Gary (Bumper) and Heather Williams, of Sevierville; great-grandchildren, Gage Williams, Dylan Hartsell, Devan Hartsell, and Brittany Hartsell; special friends, Luke, Georgia, Johnny, and Jeannie Payne.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services at 8:00 p.m., with Brother Clifton Grooms officiating.
Graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in Huskey Cemetery with Tennessee National Guard conducting military rites.
