December 26, 1947 - October 19, 2015 Resided in Knoxville, TN Melton Kenneth Jones (Pappy), 67 years old, son of the the late Kenneth Calvin and Ella Mae Clifton Jones passed away October 19, 2015 after a two year battle with cancer. He was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church and attended Hendron's Chapel United Methodist. Melton was a 1965 graduate of Young High School. He worked many years plumbing for Sam Rollins before starting his own plumbing business. The Rollins continue to be extended family. When not working Melton could be found camping or at a ballfield watching "his" kids play ball. We will miss his larger than life personality, fun sense of humor, hearty laugh and his daily presence in our lives. Melton leaves behind loving wife of 46 years, Charlotte Perkins Jones, Sons and daughters-in-law Kenny & Christi Jones and Mike & Dana Jones; Daughter and boyfriend Missy Jones & Kevin Boles; Grandchildren Roxanne (Sean), Josh, Jessica (Adam), Kirsten, Kaley, Maci and Gabe. Great-grandchildren Faryn, Dakota and Ella; siblings Gary (Glenda) Jones and Kay (Danny) Johnson. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Brother-in-law Benny (Imy) Perkins, Sisters-in-law Judy Andes and Gerri Perkins. Special thanks to the many friends that have stepped forward to remodel Melton and Charlotte's home, build ramps, care for their yard and just to brighten his days. A big thank you to Caris Hospice for their loving support these last 4 weeks. Family and friends will meet at 11 AM Thursday, October 22nd at Seven Islands Cemetery for graveside service with Rev.
