Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today for Edmund L. Wheeler in the chapel at 5501 N. Ashland av. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. Mr. Wheeler, 71, died Wednesday night in his home, at 6213 N. Fairfield av. He had been athletic director at Lewis institute, Chicago, and had coached at Purdue university, the University of Missouri, and Hillsdale college, Michigan, before becoming superintendent of athletics and recreation for the Lincoln park commission, a post he held until his retirement in 1931.
