COX, LUCILLE JENKINS "NANNY" - age 87, of Knoxville, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, September 17. She attended Lakeview Baptist Church. She was born and raised in Sevierville, Tennessee. She spent most of her adult life in Knoxville, Tennessee as a housewife, lovingly caring for her family. She loved flowers, birds and cooking for her children and their families. She is preceded in death by: parents, Arthur and Belle Jenkins; husband, William "Clyde" Cox; daughter and son-in-law, Annabelle and Jimmy Metts; son, Sterling Cox; sisters and brothers. She is survived by: granddaughter, Misty Cunningham; grandsons, Michael and Sean Cox; great granddaughter, Ashton Gourley; great grandson, Jordan Cox; nephew, David Jenkins. Many thanks to her very special friend and "second daughter" Mary Baxter. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 20th from 6:00-8:00 at Highland Memorial Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at Highland Memorial Funeral Home at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, September 21 for a 12:00 noon graveside procession.
