CHURCH, VELMA JUANITA CLEMONS - age 86 of Knoxville, passed away Sunday morning, April 24, 2005 at Parkwest Medical Center after a long illness. She was a member of Gresham Park Baptist Church, Atlanta, Ga. and under the Watchcare of Grassey Valley Baptist Church, Knoxville. She was preceded in death by: husband of 44 years, James parents, John Clemons and Cordelia Clemons Jenkins brothers, James "WID", Earl, Jack and John "Buddy" Clemons, Rex Jenkins, Ronald Jenkins sister, Delia Hodge greatly loved mother-in-law, Laura Church. She is survived by: devoted daughters, Faye and Elizabeth of Knoxville brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Hazel Jenkins of Gastonia, NC. sister, Sarah Anna Romines of Sevierville, TN, special "sons", Eddie Hepler and Shelby Mills numerous nieces and nephews who will remember her many kindnesses special sister-in-law, Zelda Culveyhouse and loving friend, Ella Mae Pruitt. She will also be fondly remembered by members of her Sunday School Class she taught faithfully for many years. The family would like to express sincerest gratitude to Dr. John Bushore and the entire staff at Summit Wellington, who became not only caregivers but friends who deeply cared. Funeral service 7:30 p.m. Tuesday Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel with Rev. Bruce Robinson officiating. The family and friends will meet at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday at Edgewood Cemetery for a 1:30 p.m. interment service. The family will receive friends 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.
