Jennifer Marie Cardwell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl E. Cardwell of Maryville, was united in marriage with William Andrew King, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. King of Rockford, July 12 at East Maryville Baptist Church. Pastor Keith Johnson officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by organist Gail Hafner and pianist Janie Mary.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a faux two-piece satin gown featuring an off-the-shoulder, Portstyle neckline. The bodice was covered with a beaded Alencon lace in a diamond and flower pattern, accented with a button back and chapel-length train. She wore a fingertip-length veil which featured a tiara-style diamond comb headpiece. She carried a cascading bouquet of white roses, white peonies, white lisianthus, blue delphinium, light blue hydrangea, blue Veronica, Italian ruscus and seeded eucalyptus.
Kelly Beddingfield of Walland was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jenny Cook of Seymour, Misti Cardwell of Walland, Alison King of Rockford and Amanda Coppinger of Maryville. They wore faux two-piece duchess satin dresses in cornflower blue which featured tank-style tops, A-line skirts and covered buttons that stopped just below the waist. They carried hand-tied bouquets of white roses, white lisianthus, blue delphinium, light blue hydrangea, blue Veronica, Blue Magic iris, variegated Pittosporum greenery and seed eucalyptus all tied with sheer white ribbon.
Greeters were Mr. and Mrs. Dodie Manalac and Mr. and Mrs. Brandon Fisher, all of Knoxville.
Charles L. King of Rockford was best man. Groomsmen were Kevin Kerr of Maryville, Donnie Cardwell of Walland, Brent Ward of Seymour and Jason Anderson of Maryville.
A reception given by the parents of the bride was held at Green Meadow Country Club.
After a wedding trip to the Mayan Riviera, Mexico, the couple are living in Rockford.
The bride received Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees from the University of Tennessee. She teaches second grade at Eagleton Elementary School.
The bridegroom received an associate's degree from ITT Technical Institute. He is a civil engineering drafter/designer for Sterling Engineering, Inc., Maryville.
