He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Hensley Rice; parents, William and Flora Rice; grandson, Joseph Eugene Rice. He is survived by his son, John Rice of Bybee; daughter, Krista Henry of Bybee; grandchildren, Chelsea Henry of Bybee, Paige Rice of Bybee; brothers-in law and sisters-in-law, Buck and Sandra Hensley of Newport, David Hensley of Newport, Michael and Carolyn Hensley of Newport, Gary and Joyce Hensley of Galax, VA, Bryan and Betty Hensley of Dandridge, Margaret and Gary Hughes of Bybee, and Kim Jones both of Newport. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Friday, May 18, 2007 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Bobbie Dunford officiating. Burial will be 11:00 am, Saturday, May 19, 2007 in Bruner’s Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Bruner’s Grove United Methodist Church.
