Zora Black Hensley, age 86, of Newport, passed away at her home, Monday, April 8, 2002. She was preceded in death by her mother, Cassie Black, and her husband, Leslie S. Hensley. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Buck and Sandra Hensley, of Newport; Gary and Joyce Hensley, of Galax, VA; Brian and Betty Hensley, of Dandridge; sons, David Hensley and Michael Hensley, both of Newport; daughters and sons-in-law: Grace and Gene Rice, of Bybee; Margaret and Gary Hughes, of Bybee; daughter, Kim Jones, of Newport; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2002 at Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Chris Ford officiating, with burial in Grooms Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. Wednesday at Manes Funeral Home. Manes Funeral Home in charge.
