Connie Stalcup Spradlen, age 67 of Gatlinburg, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 after a lengthy and hard fought battle against ovarian cancer and heart disease. She was born in Murphy, North Carolina January 13, 1948. Connie was a member of First United Methodist Church of Gatlinburg for many years. She was a wonderful and loving daughter, mother, grandmother and friend. Connie had a love for all animals furry or feathered.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Stalcup; and her brother, David Stalcup.
Connie is survived by her mother, Dorothy Stalcup; children, Brad Spradlen, and Shelly Dunn and husband, Terry; grandson, Trevor Dunn; siblings, Barbara Wilkinson and husband, Edmond, Mike Stalcup, and Dawn Jenkins and husband, Randy; many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sevier County Humane Society, PO Box 976, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee 37868 or First United Methodist Church, 742 Parkway, Gatlinburg, TN 37738.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm Thursday, February 12th with a Celebration of Life to follow at 6 pm at First United Methodist Church of Gatlinburg with Rev. Dan Moore and Rev.
