ATCHLEY, BRUCE HARRISON, JR. - age 87, of Pigeon Forge, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at St. Mary's Hospital in Knoxville. Mr. Atchley was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce H., Sr. and Mabel Elder Atchley brothers, Calvin and Birdwell Atchley, and sister, Johnnie Littlefield. Bruce is survived by his wife, Edith Huskey Atchley of Pigeon Forge children, Bronce Harrison Atchley and wife, Pat of Cape Coral, Fla., Julia Brucette and husband, Steve Pace of Vonore, Tenn., James Hugh Atchley and wife, Beverly of Knoxville grandchildren, Cheyanne and Shanna Hurley great-grandchild, Zarianna Hurley-Parsons sisters, Susan Davis of Anderson, S.C., and Margaret Phillips of Macon, Ga. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 5, at Bethel Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Brooks officiating. Interment will follow the service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 4, at Rawlings Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested, memorial donations be made to either St. Mary's Foundation, 900 East Oak Hill Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37917, or the First Baptist Church of Pigeon Forge, 3290 Parkway, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863.
