Edith H. Atchley, 82 of Pigeon Forge, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017.
She trained as an operating room technician, and spent her entire professional career serving the healthcare needs of Sevier County. For nearly 40 years she worked for Dr. John M. Hickey and later Drs. John Sonner and Vincent Tolley at Middle Creek Family Practice Associates. She also helped her husband build one of the first tourist attractions in Pigeon Forge, the Smoky Mountain Car Museum.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce H. Atchley, Jr.; parents, Hugh and Myrtle Huskey; brother, Ronald Huskey and wife Louise; brother-in-law, Max Myers; niece, Rhonda Huskey; nephew, Ronnie Huskey.
She is survived by her son, James H. Atchley and daughter-in-law Beverly; sister, Geneva Myers; nephew, Don Myers and wife Stephanie; great-niece, Sydney Myers; and great-nephew, Drew Myers.
The family would like to thank Dr. Amy Gust, Dr. Cliff Cole, Brandon Brown, NPC, and Dr. Michael Freeman for their excellent care during her times of greatest need. A special thanks to the nurses and staff of LeConte Medical Center.

The family will receive friends 1-3 PM Saturday, October, 28, 2017 in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with service to follow at 3 PM with Rev. Wayne Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.atchleyfuneralhome.com.
