LEICESTER - Geraldine Hurst "Jerri" Littrell, 60, of 61 Jenkins Brown Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, at Mission St. Joseph's Health System. She was a native of Knoxville, Tenn., and is survived by her husband of 41 years, Glen W. Littrell of Leicester two daughters and their husbands, Tammy L. and Garfield Jones of Raleigh and Glenda L. and Rex Brown of Leicester one son, Johnny L. Littrell of Leicester four sisters, Evelyn McClure of Waynesville, Jesse Glenn, Faye Kennedy and Vickie Masters, all of Knoxville, Tenn. one brother, Mike Hurst of Knoxville, Tenn. two half sisters one half brother six grandchildren, Michael and Justin Williams, Cody and Carissa Brown and Nathan and Haley Littrell. She was the daughter of the late Milas and Willa Mae Lockhart Hurst and was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Hurst, who died in January 2001. She retired from St. Joseph's Hospital in 1994 with 23 years of service and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was an active member of the church choir and the United Methodist Women Society. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wells Funeral Home in Canton. The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Fred E. Carpenter Jr. officiating. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the services. Following the services, burial will be in the church cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made to the Grace United Methodist Church Cemetery Maintenance Fund, c/o Levi Hall, 481 Old Newfound Road, Leicester, NC 28748.
