Schlaine went home to be with her Heavenly Father on January 25, 2014 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Her finnal days were spent surrounded by the family and friends who loved her so much. She is survived by her husband Joe Thomas; sisters-in-law Mary Lee Bowers and Jim, Billie Womack; brother James and Debbie Hurst; sisters Jackie and Buck Harland, Jody and Bill Irwin, Deannie and Ray Hodges and Noni Archer; nephews Colt Hurst, Jackson Hurst, Brian Irwin, Lee Webb and Ramie Hurst and nieces Nancy Webb and Jodi Nicole Archer. Schlaine was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend. She was a successful business woman, opening the finrst Merle Norman Store in Seymour. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
