Jewell Arlene Hurst Evans, born February 12, 1924 died March 2, 2007 at the age of 83. She is preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Lester Hurst, brothers: Elmer, Jay, Fletcher, and James Hurst, and granddaughter: Tammy J. Gray. She is survived by her husband: Rev. Everett E. Evans, son and daughter-in-law: Bill and Jan Evans of Vonore, daughter and son-in-law: Evelyn and Buddy Goforth of Maryville, 5 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and several friends and relatives. The funeral service will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, March 4, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Owen Evans officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Piney Grove Cemetery, Greenback. The family will receive friends 1:30 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. At the request of Jewell Arlene Evans and her family, in lieu of flowers make donations at Memorial Funeral Home 610 Washington St. Maryville, TN 37804 to help defray the funeral expenses.
