She was preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude and Hobert Williams. Mrs. Burchfiel was a teacher in the Sevier County School System for 32 years and leaves behind many loved former students. Survivors: loving husband of 46 years, Robert F. Burchfiel; son, Robert G. Burchfiel; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Carroll Chance; beloved granddaughter, Jessica A. Chance; brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Alice Burchfiel; nieces and nephews, Glenda and Gary Pierce, Steve and Carmella Burchfiel; close friends, Michael Laymon and Patricia Courtney. Family and friends will leave Atchley Funeral Home at 3:30 p.m., Monday for a 4 p.m., graveside service and interment in Allen Cemetery with Rev. Hudson Chesteen officiating.
