Brown, age 90 of Sevierville passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2003, at Fort Sanders Sevier Medical Center. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Sevierville and the C.A.B. Sunday School Class, where he served as treasurer for 50 years. He was also a member of Woodsman of the World. Mr. Brown was a licensed contractor, and owner and operator of Brown’s Custom Made Cabinets in Sevierville for many years. He was preceded in death by a grandson Jeffery Hardin; parents Serene and Ethel (Allen) Brown; sisters Gladys Allen, Savannah Catlett, Cedith Atchley, infant Mary Brown, Imogene Atchley and Mildred Newcomb. Survivors: Wife of 70 years: Lucile S.Brown Daughter and son-in-law: Dortha Faye and Jack Hardin Grandchildren: Jimmy Hardin, Kevin Hardin and wife Laura, Michelle Hardin Great-grandchildren: Alexandria, Cooper and Lochlain Hardin. Sisters-in-law: Beulah Lowe and husband Frank Lowe of Pigeon Forge; Evelyn Nelson of Alabama Funeral service 7 PM Thursday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral with Rev. Randy Davis and Rev. Ben Knight officiating. Eulogies will be given by Mr. Brown’s grandchildren. Interment 11 AM Friday in Shiloh Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hardin, Kevin Hardin, Dale Atchley, Wayne Atchley, Steve Hendrix, Jerry Hendrix and Eddie Hendrix. Honorary pallbearers will be members of C.A.B. Sunday School Class. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church, 317 Parkway, Sevierville, TN 37862.
