HUFFAKER, JIMMY C. - age 71, of Knoxville, passed away Friday, August 22, 2003, at Parkwest Hospital. Mr. Huffaker's family was one of the first families in Kodak, Tenn. He was a graduate of Sevier County High School, a Veteran of the U.S. Army, and a 32nd Degree Mason and Scottish Rites. Mr. Huffaker was a member of Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a former member of Beech Springs Baptist Church. He was retired from Overnite Transpiration Company. Mr. Huffaker was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by his daughter, Jeanni C. Huffaker father, Emert R. Huffaker mother, Flora Hodges Huffaker brothers, Trent (Bud) Huffaker, and Vaughn E. Huffaker, and brother-in-law, Jimmy Jackson. Mr. Huffaker is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara Jackson Huffaker son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy (Randy) and Traci Huffaker daughter and son-in-law, Sarah Beth and Dennis Roeder grandchildren, Emily and Ethan Roeder, Amanda, Jacob and Allison Huffaker sisters and brother-in-law, Mrs. Geraldine Bailey, Mrs. Otella Whaley, Mrs. Adele and Jack Russell and Mrs. Alta Garrett brother and sisters-in-law, Joe and Faye Jackson, Ida Huffaker and Ruby Huffaker nieces and nephews, Trenta and Roy Swann, Landra Bailey, Rudy Bailey, Kathy Schlacht, William Whaley, Angie Hightower, Peggy Dykes, Eddy Garrett, Steve Huffaker and Vaughnette Stoddard, Debbie Hicks, Larry Jackson, Gary Jackson, Rusty Jackson, Randee Smith, Betsy Long, Kevin Jackson and Jessica Jackson. The family would like to thank Dr. Ted Stallings and staff. Interment will be Monday August 25, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Beech Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Kodak, Tenn. Honorary pallbearers are Dwayne Hodge, Jim Wood, Bill Clabo, Nick Nichols, Boyce Higgins, Morgan Greene, Charles C. Hodges, Ira Moneymaker, Mike Smith, Max Henson and James Ladd. Weaver Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements.
