She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Rose Huffaker, husband, Richard, and her daughter, Jane Ellen Cabe McCroskey. Mrs. Cabe was a lifelong animal lover and was the owner of Pinecrest Kennel. She was a longtime member and Sunday school teacher of Valley Grove Baptist Church and a former employee of KUB. Survivors: Family and friends including Charles C. McCroskey, Juanita Lusk, Wanda Julian, Connie Ogle, Frances Hancock, Helen Saylor, Bruce and Betsy Foster, James and Pam Hooper, Bill and Carolyn Cabe. The family and friends would like to send their gratitude to the staff of Mountain Brook Village and Holston Healthcare for their compassionate care.
