Lillie Mae Howell, age 92 of Sevierville, passed away Monday, March 14, 2011. Mrs. Howell was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was a Christian lady and very devoted to church and was the cornerstone of her family. She left behind a special testimony of faith and love, her greatest gift. She always had a quick wit and a warm smile for those around her. Just a SPECIAL lady
She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Howell; infant daughter Judy Faye Howell; brothers C.B. Bowers, Jay Bowers, Fred Bowers and sister Geneva Curtis.
Survivors include her children and their spouses Louise and Howard Helton, Homer and Ella Howell, Kathy Townsend, Donnie and Susan Howell; grandchildren, Teresa Allen and husband Carroll, Sonny Helton and wife Kathy, Tammy Boling and husband J.R., Darlene Smith and husband Robin, Homer Howell, Jr., Dlorah Townsend, Emily McClure and husband Carl, Jacob Howell; 14 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren
The family would like extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Fort Sanders Sevier Nursing Home.
The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Wednesday with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Rev. Al Smith and Rev. Howard Helton will officiate.
