Lucille Elizabeth “Nanny” Underwood, age 86, of Maryville, died Sunday, October 21, 2007 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was retired from Levi’s and Wynn’s clothing factories. She had also been a housekeeper at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church for 45 years. She also worked for 31 years for her good friends Pam Jarvis Miller and Rosemary Crowe. Lucille was an avid gardener, giving away most or her produce, and was known for providing food for the hungry. She was preceded in death by husband, Ralph Underwood; infant son, Herman; parents, G.W. and Susie Holder; grandson and wife Michael Parrott and Traci Thomas; brothers, Troy, Clifford, Carmon, Gib, and Leon Holder; sisters, Elsie Lopossor, Mary Bell Grant, Margaret Bruck, Lillian Gregory, Vivian Corn, Nellie Ruth Culogs. Survivors include her son, Pete Underwood; daughters, Sherry Underwood; Pauline Mattox; daughter and son-in-law, Hazel and Douglas Green, all of Maryville; grandchildren, Bobbie Jo (Chris) Lynch, Brandon Underwood, Trevor Underwood, Teresa (Phil) Duggan, Todd (Terri) Parrott, Tammy (Dustin) Charlton, Michelle (Jim) Hamilton, Shane Green, Sarah (Jeremy) Stafford; great-grandchildren, Tabitha and Elizabeth Underwood, Brooke Lynch, Houston and Alex Hamilton, Taylor Green, Reagan Stafford, Nicholas and Robert Ridings, Cory, Brandon, and Samantha Duggan; Brittany, Jessie, and Alisha Parrott; great-great grandchildren, Hayden, Michael, Amryn, Brennen, Kaleia, and Jaydn. Funeral service will be 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2007 in the Dotson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Connatser and Father Alex Waraksa officiating. Interment will be 11:00 a.m Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
