Survived by wife of 50 years, Judy Stiles Holbert; daughters, Susan Craig and husband Kevin, Kelly Sherrod and husband Lee; grandson, Zachary Sherrod; step-mother, Helen Holbert; sister-in-law, Lena Holbert; and several nieces and nephews. Member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church and Strawberry Plains Lodge # 462 F & AM. He enjoyed sports, fishing, and traveling. Retired from Rentenbach Engineering after many years of service. Funeral services will be at 6:00 PM Saturday, September 12, 2009, in the chapel at Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Martin officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:15 PM Sunday at Bridges Funeral Home and proceed to Eastview Memorial Gardens for a 2:00 PM interment.
