WHALEY, CLARA - age 74, of Jefferson City, went to the Lord, Sunday, February 12, 2006. She was a member of Community Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Talbot, TN. She was preceded in death by husband James Laymon Whaley, mother Zelma Whaley, Whaley sister Ruth Nelson, and a special grandchild Angle Marissa Brown Whaley. Survivors sister and brother-in-law Juanita and Wayne Cowden; sister Eula Matthews; sons Ronald and Pamela Whaley of South Knoxville, James Whaley and a very special daughter-in-law Mary Whaley of Jefferson City; daughters Sandra Brewer, Joyce Whaley; grandchildren Andrea and Brad Whaley, Jamie Prince and husband Joe, Tammy and Robert Nichols, Christy and Raymond Yoder, Lisa Smith, Elizabeth Mills and Brad, JR Jones and Jennifer, Cynthia Mills, Jimmy Brewer, Michael Brown, Ashley Brown, Tyler Brown, Mike Jones; numerous great grandchildren, very special great grandson Austin Tyler Jones Whaley her playmate and numerous nephews and nieces and a special nephew Roy Bill. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the community, her dear friends and all of the prayers of her church family, and dear friend Pastor Dennis Caldwell. Funeral service 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 16, 2006 from Highland South Chapel with Pastor Dennis Caldwell officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:45 a.m., Friday, at Highland South Memorial Park, for a 10:00 a.m., committal service.
