John E. Hodges, age 82 of Sevierville, died Monday, September 8, 2003 at UT Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a member of Millican Grove Baptist Church and served in the United States Army during World War II and held the rank of T5.
Mr. Hodges was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie J. Wilson Hodges; parents, John and Maude Hodges; brothers, Jack and Frank Hodges.

Funeral service 7:30 PM Thursday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. David Wilson and Rev. David Hodges officiating. Interment 11 AM Friday in Millican Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Hodges, Don Hodges, Jack Hodges, Billy Caughron, Judson (Doc) Caughron, Wayne Spence, Charles Rule, and Jack Latham. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Tucker, Terry Tucker, Bill Wilson, Johnny Wilson, Ralph Latham, Jack Manis, Oliver Romines, and the Adult Men’s Sunday school class of Millican Grove Baptist Church. Memorial may be made to Millican Grove Baptist Church, Building Fund, c/o Sheila Huskey, 2895 Victory Lane, Sevierville, TN, 37876 OR First Baptist Church, Triple L, 317 Parkway, Sevierville, TN 37862.
