He was a member of Millican Grove Baptist Church and served in the United States Army during World War II and held the rank of T5. Mr. Hodges was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie J. Wilson Hodges; parents, John and Maude Hodges; brothers, Jack and Frank Hodges. Survivors: Daughters: Maxine Hodges, Geraldine Smelcer and husband Larry Grandson: Neal Smelcer Sister: Anna Flo Caughron Foster sister: Helen Bradley Sisters-in-law: Blanche Hodges, Bobbie Hodges, Hazel Latham and Lela Wilson Special, longtime friend: Ken Kerr Funeral service 7:30 PM Thursday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev.
