McMahan obituary [S106] The Mountain Press, 7 Jul 2011. Deeretta (Hill) McMahan, 80, of Browntown Wisc., formerly of Sevierville, Tenn. passed away June 19th at home surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her husband John (Keller) McMahan also formally of Sevierville and survived by daughter Kaye (Jim) desRosiers of Browntown, Wisc.; grandson, John desRosiers of Lake Bluff, Ill.; granddaughter, Michelle (Eric) Hanson; and beloved great-granddaughter, Brooke Hanson of Monroe, Wisc.; sisters, Sara Nell Justus, Rene Jenkins both of Sevierville; brothers, Jody Hill of Powell and Norris (Diane) Hill of Seymour; and many nieces and nephews, she loved them all. Dee was an avid sports fan and played on the Sevier County High School Girls State basketball team through high school. She loved fishing, gardening and canning. A private gathering was held June 21st; she will be buried at sea with full Military honors in the area where her husband was laid to rest some 9 years ago. Together again at last. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
