COWAN , BOBBIE JEAN HICKS- of Seymour, passed away at home November 2, 1999 following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Julia Hicks; brothers, Glen and Richard Hicks. Mrs. Cowan is survived by her husband of 40 years, Jack H. Cowan ; a son, Rod Cowan ; two grandchildren, Dustin and Casey Cowan ; two sisters, Virginia Romines and Dorothy Keener; former daughter-in-law, Christy West; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cowan was employed by K-Mart for many years. Interment will be Saturday, November 6, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. in The Cowan Family Cemetery, 1854 Cowan Way, Seymour. The family requests that memorials be made to Union Valley Baptist Church, 855 Union Valley Church Rd., Seymour, Tenn. 37865. Highland South Funeral Home is in charge.
