He was a lifetime resident of Sevier County, Tennessee. Randy was a special person loved by all who knew him. While living and coping with mental illness, Randy was Valedictorian of the Sevier County High School class of 1984 and played trumpet as "First Chair" in the Sevier County High School Bands. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.A. in accounting and subsequently obtained his CPA license. Randy went on to work for KMPG and the State of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wallace and Irene Henderson; and his paternal grandparents, Walter and Pearl Franklin. Randy is survived by his devoted wife, Teresa Carr Franklin; parents, Boyd and Christine Franklin; brother, Darrell Franklin and wife, Denise of Portage, IN; step-son, Jason Branam and wife, Laurah; step-daughter, Cammie Middleton and husband, Josh; grandchildren, Devan Curts, Charles Latham, Jr., Kim Branam, Erin Branam, Maxwell Latham, Blake Middleton, Logan Middleton, Brady Branam, Alorah Branam; nephew, Jameson Franklin; and niece, Alyssa Franklin; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral Service 3 pm Sunday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Steele and Darrell Franklin officiating. Interment to follow in Middle Creek Cemetery.
