He was a charter member of Carpenters Chapel in Solway and was a Veteran of World War 11; serving in the 1107th Army Air Force Base Unit He was retired from Martin Marietta where he was employed for 37 years. He was preceded in by son; Trent Leslie Manuel; parents, Willie (Bill) and Lula Manuel; brothers, James Edward and Otto F. Manuel and sister-in-law Shirley Manuel. Survived by loving wife of 50 years, Bobbie Henderson Manuel; sister, Annie Mary White and her husband Joe; brother, Henry (Bud) Manuel and sister-in-law, Joyce Manuel; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Clarence and Bertha Henderson; several nieces and nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends Tuesday September 30, 2008 from 6 to 8 pm at Weaver Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday October 1, 2008 at Carpenters Chapel in Solway with Revs Dwight Henderson and Johnny Garren officiating burial will follow at Solway Church of God Cemetery.
