August 17, 1925 - September 24, 2017
Julia Farmer Fisher, 92, of Kodak, made Heaven a little sweeter with her presence on Sunday, September 24, 2017. She was one of twelve children born to Sam and Mattie Henderson in Sevier County on August 17, 1925. Julia, better known as, “Granny” to everyone loved to spend time with her family, attend church, and read her Bible. In her younger years, she enjoyed flowers and gardening and passed her passion to her family. She was a long-time member of Beech Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, Ransom E. Farmer; her second husband, Jack Hodge; third husband, Romes C. Fisher; and her grandson, Kevin Farmer.
Granny is survived by her children, Robert (Faye) Farmer, Jim (Jackie) Farmer, Linda (John) Douglas, Don (Patsy) Farmer, Darlene (Mike) Lively, Paulette Henderson; step-son, John (Vickie) Fisher; grandchildren, Tim (Lisa) Farmer, Jamie (Todd) Stansberry, Leah Farmer, Chris (Rhonda) Douglas, Mendy (Mike) Douglas-Guinn, Andrew (Mariah) Farmer, Anne Marie (Clayton) LaPrees, Sara (Logan) Berry, Laura White and fiancé, Matt Dunn, Kristin Lively, Jennifer (Tim) Stansberry, Alex Henderson; great-grandchildren, Amanda, T.J., Coty (Alicia), Ransom, Katie, Aiden, Millie Grace, Ashley (Kris), Haley Rae, Matthew, Emily, Trish (Aaron), Taylor (Cody), Mac, Chloe, Kaitlyn, A.J., Brooks, Eastin, and Norah; great-great-grandchildren, Kaden, Braden, Brody, Karley, Garrett, Cason, and Adeline, Jace, Sam, Tailyn; sisters, Imogene Ward and Flora Catlett; sister-in-law, Mary Farmer; special friends, Chuck and Glenda Sharpe; many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family wishes to thank Tracy Gonzales of UT Hospice, Debbie Houk, and Donna Stallings, for all their kindness and care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Beech Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 337 W. Mount Rd., Kodak, TN 37764.
The family will receive friend from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday, September 27th with the funeral service to follow at 7 PM at Beech Spring Baptist Church. Rev. Richard Compton and Rev.
