Bryan Scott Thomas, age 26 of Seymour, passed away early Monday morning , April 2, 2001. Bryan was a Christian and a member of Saint Paul Nondenominational Church in Seymour. He graduated with honors from Hiwassee College in Madisonville, and also attended Maryville College. While growing up, he was active in the Boy Scouts and earned his Eagle Scout Award in 1992. He was a 4 year veteran employee of Super Service, Inc. Bryan was a devoted friend to many and loved by all who truly knew him.
Bryan was preceded in death by: grandparents, Jim and Vira Thomas and Hobert and Allie Helton; great-grandmother Martha Helton; uncles, Glen Allen, Harold Glaspie and Jimmy Thomas; aunt, Ima Jean Justus.
He leaves to mourn his passing:

Aunts and uncles: Ada and Harold Cooper, Lois and Clet Ervin, Lowell and Helen Thomas, Ernest and Jean Justus, Kaye and Beecher Berry, all of Seymour; Alma Jean and Clon Matthews of Jefferson City; Berniece Thomas of Rutledge; Dale and Barbara Thomas of Monroe, LA; Joe and Sandee Thomas of Spokane, WA and Kent and Christine Thomas of Brookfield, Mass.
Bryan had a host of special friends, cousins, and loved ones. He will be deeply missed.
The family will receive friends 5:30 – 7: 30 PM with funeral service to follow at 7:30 PM Thursday in The East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. Rev. George W. Ott, Jr., Rev. Michael Justus and Rev. Agnes Gilbertson officiating. Family and friends will meet 10 AM Friday in Chilhowee Cemetery, Seymour for interment. Pallbearers will be Bryan’s friends: Jason Haggard, Jeff Shields, Brian Widener, Jeff Glaspie, Travis Johnson, Jeff Gibson and Kevin Spangler. Arrangements by Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
