(November 27, 1919 - February 10, 2012) Georgie Ruth Byrd, age 92, of Sevierville, TN, passed away Friday, February 10, 2012 at Physicians Regional Hospital, Knoxville, TN. She was a member of Burchfield Memorial Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Asier V. Byrd; and daughter Geraldine (Judy) Byrd. She is survived by her grandson, Jackie Ivey with whom she made her home; son, Harold (Jewell) Byrd of Newport; daughters, Audrey Shropshire of Dandridge, Fern McCoig of Sevierville, Lucy Layman of Dandridge, Helen (Donald) Denton of Dandridge; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Sunday, February 12, 2012 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held 1:00 pm Monday, February 13, 2012 in Burchfield Memorial Cemetery.
