Murray, Ruby June Headrick, age 86, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 29, 2012 following a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig Disease). Ruby retired from Camel Manufacturing Co. She was preceded in death by parents; Ed and Elizabeth Headrick, husband; Elbert Murray, daughter; Sandra Murray, sister; Irene Zalesak, brother; George Headrick. Ruby is survived by daughter and son-in-law; Brenda and J.L. Covington, son; Roy (Bud) Murray, grandchildren; Tim and wife; Chris Covington; Suzie and husband Alan Smith; Kim Murray and fiancé Brian Wagner, great-grandchildren, Kendall and Carolyn Covington, Jay and Ellie Smith, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 6-8 PM at Berry Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery Friday, March 2, 2012 for an 11 AM graveside service with Rev. Doug Inman officiating. Special thanks to U.T. Hospice and Tasha Noland.
