Mayme Elizabeth (Headrick) Taylor was born on August 3, 1917 and left this world on May 22, 2009. Mayme passed away in the same house she was born in almost 92 years ago. She was a member of the West Millers Cove Primitive Baptist Church for 80 years. She was preceded in death by: Husband, Hoyle Taylor; Daughters Phyllis Jean Taylor and Mary Ruth (Taylor) Walker. Father John Headrick and Mother, Mary (Farr) Headrick; Brothers Artie, Maynard, Ed, Homer, Granville, Holbert and Oscar. She is survived by Sons and daughters-in-law; Bob and Benita Taylor of Maryville, Gary and Barbara Taylor of Maryville and son-in-law Mickey Walker of Walland. Grandchildren; Vicky Miles, Dale Taylor, Susan Sholtz, David Taylor, Michelle Helton, Jason Taylor, Sherri Blair, and Mike Walker. 14 great-grandchildren & 3 great-great-grandchildren. Her smile and sense of humor that touched so many will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who ever met her. Special thanks to Carol Burchfield and neighbors Lynn and Lenville Powell. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 25, 2009 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Elder Mike Walker, Rev. Taylor Walker, and Rev. Jason Blair officiating. The family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at West Millers Cove Primitive Baptist Church for Interment.
