She was preceded in death by parents, George & Mattie Billingsley; husband, Eugene Chandler; son, Eugene, Jr. and nine brothers and sisters. She leaves to cherish precious memories seven devoted children to include: Magdalene Henry, B. Yevette (Harry) Atkins, Hazel Chandler, Bloomfield, Conn., Emma (George) Tate, Willie (Amon) Reed, James Chandler and the late Linda Chandler, Master Sgt. (Ret.) Henry (Kathy) Chandler, Midwest City, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 11 step great grandchildren; very devoted sister in law, Hazel Rogers, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was a long time member of Bush Grove Baptist Church under Pastors Butler and Fuqua before she changed her membership to Payne Ave. Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Cook. A special thank you to Evelyn Whaley, Adjama Davis and Carol Gordon who helped us care for Mama, Betty Brantley a close friend of the family, Dr. Gabrille Villereal and her nurse, Angel. Neighbors, the Thomas family and very devoted Deacon Harris. A special thanks to Baptist Hospice nurses. The family will be at 3923 Porter Avenue. Funeral services 3 p.m. Thursday at Payne Ave. Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Richard S. Brown, Jr. officiating. Interment to follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery off Kingston Pike.
