CHAMBERLAIN, FRED ALBERT - age 103 of Knoxville, TN closed his eyes on this earth on October 16th, 2010, and was immediately in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was passionate in life and was a true servant to God and others. Everything he did reflected his love for his Lord. He was a long time and oldest member of Riverview Baptist Church where he served in many roles. He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Ellen in 1991. Fred was the third son of David and Elsie Chamberlain. Also, preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law Clarence and Lillie Chamberlain; brothers Jesse and Ernest Chamberlain. Survived by loving family, daughters Linda Chamberlain, Brenda Dockery and son-in-law Marvin; grandsons David Dockery and wife Susanna, Alan Dockery and wife Sarah; great grandchildren Sydney and Chase, Isabelle and Grayson; sisters-in-law Ruth and Bertha Chamberlain, and many nieces and nephews; and long-time loving friend Dorothy (Dottie) Cameron and "Special Phone Buddy" Marian Williams. Pallbearers are Ron and Don Chamberlain, Richard Mathis, Marvin Dockery, Keith Bible and Wayne Pickel. Honorary pallbearers are members of the "Loyal Soldiers" Sunday School Class. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 19th, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the Highland Memorial Chapel, Kingston Pike, funeral to follow, with Rev. Mike Higgins and Dr. Steve Hancock officiating. Interment will be on October 20th, 2010 at 11:00 am in Highland Memorial Parks. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home at 10:30 am. Daddy loved the Bible, God's Word.
