Lester Garlin Hall, 81, passed away Friday, at his residence in Knoxville. Lester was a retired construction worker and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Sallie (McGaha) Hall. He is survived by two sons, Buddy and daughter-in-law, Ann Hensley and Jessie and daughter-in-law, Gail Hensley, all of Newport; one stepdaughter, Bobbie Jo Gray, of Morristown; two sisters, Mary Baker, of Knoxville and Oda Davis, of Gastonia, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Lisa Swann and Mike Finchum, both of Newport; four great grandchildren, Jake Swann, Jessa Swann, Chase Finchum, and Shane Finchum, all of Newport; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Rev. Mitchell Woodson and Rev. Charles Lindy Jones will ofÞciate.
